The Office of Academic Affairs, through its work overseeing all courses and programs at Oakton, ensures that you get real value for your time at Oakton. The Office ensures Oakton's academics deliver on the mission and values of the College, bringing quality, equity and opportunity to our students.
This office brings together students, faculty and staff to meet the access and equity goals of the college. The OAED achieves this through the college's Diversity Council, the Access and Disability Resource Center, Anti-Racism Team and other Oakton initiatives.
The office of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs directs the business, finance, police, IT, and facility areas of the College. Business and Financial Services includes the departments of Accounting Services, Business Services, Facilities Operation and Construction, the Budget Office, and Public Safety.
Oakton's police department offers a broad range of services designed to keep you safe and to promote a peaceful environment. It also offers a number of resources to keep you informed and alert.
The marketing and communications team enhances the reputation of the College in the communities we serve by telling the Oakton story across channels including public relations, the website, social media, publications and marketing materials, and advertising campaigns.
The Educational Foundation proudly supports the mission and vision of Oakton by raising funds for student scholarships, academic programs, teaching excellence, and other improvements.
The Facilities Department offers a full range of services related to college facilities, grounds and safety. The office coordinates and works on grounds, housekeeping, HVAC and maintenance.
The Office of Grant Strategy Development provides support for grant writing, from planning and budget drafting to evaluation and data requirements. The office provides the expertise and support to transform your good idea into a succinct, detailed and competitive grant proposal.
In the same way our faculty and staff support our students, the Office of Human Resources supports the college workforce with a number of human resources needs, including hiring, benefits and more.
The Information Technology Department is dedicated to delivering high quality technical service to our students, employees and community. It is our goal to continuously meet the technological needs of all students, staff, faculty and visitors through IT support services, computer maintenance, network services and more.
The Media Services Department provides audiovisual equipment, materials, and assistance for classes and special events at the Des Plaines and Skokie campuses, and oversees the college's cable and video operations.
The Office of Research and Planning performs a wide range of services dedicated to gathering, analyzing and using data and information to enhance learning, teaching and institutional effectiveness.
