About the Office of Athletics
Success in the classroom for our student-athletes is a top priority in Oakton's Office of Athletics. We are committed to providing a comprehensive network of academic and life skills to support our athletes throughout their collegiate careers so that they can enjoy time on the court, field or course and also get the most out of time in the classroom.
For us, the goal is to help every Oakton student-athlete succeed and graduate regardless of their interests or circumstances. The Athletic Staff are here to provide academic, personal, transfer and career-related advising on an individual basis to student-athletes. These services include:
Individualized academic and athletic eligibility advising.
Academic performance monitoring.
Supervised, structured study table sessions.
Student-athlete development workshops.
Referrals to the appropriate campus-wide resources.
