As of July 1, 2015, in accordance with the Higher Education Smoke-Free Campus Act (110 ILCS 64), Oakton is now a smoke-free campus.
Smoking is prohibited on all campus property (indoor and outdoor) at Oakton's campuses in Des Plaines and Skokie, including all College-owned vehicles.
The policy applies to any individual on campus property, including but not limited to students, employees, contractors, subcontractors, volunteers, visitors and members of the public.

Yes. This policy applies to any individual on College property, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, other employees, contractors, subcontractors, volunteers, visitors, and members of the public.
Violation of the policy may result in a monetary fine ($50) issued by Public Safety and/or disciplinary action by the appropriate administrative office.
