At Oakton, we want every student to have the opportunity to learn in an inclusive environment that allows them to study effectively and comfortably. The Access and Disability Resource Center provides assistive technology support to students via specialized computers, loaner equipment and more. You can work with the center’s staff to arrange assistive technology access in specific areas of campus.
Assistive technology helps students with disabilities by changing the functionality of learning materials. These tools range from mechanical hardware like specialized cameras to digital software, such as screen readers that support reading, writing and research.
