Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Credit
Oakton College's Fire Science Department awards credit for college-level learning accomplished while working as an EMT.
Credit for National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Certification
In efforts to recognize quality training and to encourage continued education pursuits, the Fire Science Department is offering credit (8 credit hours) for FIR220 - Emergency Medical Technician course upon receiving documented evidence of:
- A current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician licensure and;
- A score of 80% in the training program where the students prepared for the exam and;
