Transfer Admission Guarantee University of Illinois Chicago
What is it?
The Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program is a partnership between specific Community Colleges and the University of Illinois at Chicago that offers a guaranteed transfer pathway to several UIC programs. TAG offers certainty to students who want to transfer to UIC rather than attend as first year students.

- TAG Students enrolling at University of Illinois Chicago who achieve a transferrable GPA of
3.8 and apply to the UIC Honors College will be guaranteed admission to the Honors College.
Participation Details
In order to qualify for the UIC Transfer Admission Guarantee, a student must:
- Complete course work that meets the UIC transfer requirements and degree requirements toward their intended program.
- Earn at least a grade of “C” in all courses listed under the Participating
Program Requirements. Some programs have additional grade requirements as noted on
their program page.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on both all transferable coursework, and coursework specifically required for admission.
- Submit the TAG participation form no later than the last day of the second week in the first
semester of the final year of enrollment at Oakton College.
- Complete all requirements and transfer into UIC within three years of
the date of signing the TAG Participation Form and may only participate one time.
- Track their degree progress by creating a Transferology account, to view
program requirements and transfer equivalencies, and to add their courses to Transferology
at the completion of each term.
