Transfer Partners

Help Us Help Students!

Oakton currently partners with over 30 institutions on more than 160 transfer agreements. We welcome more partnerships with bachelor degree-granting institutions who:
  • are nationally or regionally accredited,
  • accept nationally and regionally accredited credits,
  • are willing to share annual applicable student transfer data,
  • accept a minimum of 60 semester credits,
  • accept credits earned through prior learning assessment,
  • accept additional coursework completed beyond the associate degree,
  • accept Oakton’s general education core in satisfaction of lower division institutional general education requirements,
  • are willing to provide financial incentives (e.g., scholarships, no application fees),
  • are interested in guaranteed admission, dual enrollment, or articulated pathway agreements,
  • can provide advising resources or assign a transfer coordinator/liaison,
  • are willing to attend at least one transfer event or campus visit per year at Oakton, and
  • have opportunities for interested transfer students to visit campus or attend special events. 

We offer several transfer engagement opportunities and welcome recruitment visits from representative at colleges and universities with whom we have established transfer partnerships or guides as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday; 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
  • Fall Semester: September - November
  • Spring Semester: February - April

You can easily schedule your visit(s) each academic year using Oakton's self-service scheduling system:

 *If necessary, please cancel your visit ASAP via the Google Calendar confirmation you received when scheduling your visit. Advance notice helps us update student-facing calendars and make space available for other partners.
